What We Do › How We Collect Clothes

Liberty Recycling collects clothes through its network of clothes recycling banks, through school and door to door collections and through service agreements with charity shops such as the Irish Cancer Society. Donations are also accepted in our charity shops on 28 lower Camden Street, Dublin 2, 7 Micheal Street Waterford City and in our recycling facility Unit D1C Bluebell Industrial Estate, Dublin 12.

Clothes Banks

Liberty Recycling operates a nationwide network of over 180 clothing recycling banks where the public can support the project by donating their unwanted clothes, shoes and textiles.

We are extremely grateful to all the hosts of our recycling banks. These include Tesco Ireland, Superquinn, Active Facility Management and Kildare County Council and local businesses, schools, churches and community groups throughout the country.

To find your nearest clothes bank location click here. Please contact us if you have any problem finding a bank or to report any damage.

If you would like to host a clothing bank please contact us on   01-4193999 or email info@libertyrecycling.ie.

School Collections

Liberty Recycling organizes collections of unwanted clothing through schools around the country in return for a contribution to school funds. This service is proving very popular with schools. Many schools incorporate the collection into their environmental awareness programmes particularly in the Green Schools.

We provide collection bags and arrange for the collection of donated clothing on the morning of the collection or when convenient for the school.

If you would like to organize a school collection please contact us on 01 4193999 or email info@libertys.ie.

Door to door collections

Liberty Recycling organize door-to-door collections in the Greater Dublin area and Wicklow and Wexford. Our collectors always use our branded collection bags with all our contact details. Our collection vans always have signage and our drivers always carry Liberty identification. If in doubt please ask.

Remember bogus collectors generally do not include landline numbers on their leaflets or bags. If you spot anything suspicious please report it to the Gardai.

Charity Shop Collections

Liberty Recycling provides nearly €500,000 in income to its charity suppliers such as Saint Vincent de Paul and the Irish Cancer Society each year.

Liberty Recycling services charity shops throughout Ireland, collecting surplus clothes and footwear for recycling in our Dublin facility. Liberties Recycling currently works with the following charities:

  • Irish Cancer Society
  • Saint Vincent de Paul
  • Carmelite Fathers
  • Friends of Autism

If you would like more information on how we can service your charity shop please contact us on 01 4193999 or email info@libertys.ie.
